QSAN AegisSAN Q500-P20 Achieves 5-Star Review by IT Pro Magazine

Qsan® Technology, Inc. today announced its AegisSAN Q500-P20 storage system has been awarded the highest rating of 5-Stars by IT Pro Magazine. The Qsan AegisSAN Q500-P20 is designed to deliver an affordable dual controller IP SAN array with high expansion potential, starting with up to 24 SAS/SATA hot-swap bays, it can then be expanded up to 256 drives using Qsan’s J300Q JBOD expansion units. There are also a range of networking options, including 1Gb/10Gb also 8Gb and 16Gb fibre channel options. More recently the option of 6Gb SAS has also been added to the configuration options. IT Pro's Dave Mitchell, highlighted the AegisSAN Q500-P20 ability to combine big capacity, along with enterprise features at an affordable price without compromising on performance. Featuring dual active controllers, fast failover and total redundancy, with no single point of failure; the Q500-P20 is perfect for storing business critical data. IT Pro used a HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 rack server equipped with an Emulex dual-port 10GbE adapter and running Windows Server 2012 R2. With the server mounted onto a 750GB target. Using Iometer they clocked a raw read and write speeds of 1,060MB/sec and 809MB/sec which equates to 8.3Gbits/sec and 6.3Gbits/sec respectively. AegisSAN Q500-P20’s superb performance in the test means that it has been highly recommended by Dave Mitchell and achieved 5-stars and the prestigious "IT Pro Recommended" rating.
